Chen Ziqi
Mr. Chen Ziqi, professor-level senior engineer, registered consultant, expert enjoying a special allowance from the State Council, serves as the director of CIECC’s Metallurgy & Building Material Industry Department. He has been honored with the title of advanced knowledge worker of central enterprises and well-known steel consulting expert in China.
Academic Achievements
Mr. Chen has presided over the evaluation of more than 300 major projects. For instance, Shougang’s relocation evaluation has solved the unprecedented relocation problem of an 8-million-ton urban steel mill. In the Research on Several Important Issues in the Steel Industry, he creatively proposed the Elimination of Outdated Capacity, Control General Capacity, and Replacement with High-level Capacity, which was instructed by the then premier Wen Jiabao. |

He participated in the formulation of Steel Industry Policy, the Revitalization Plan for the Steel Industry, and the 12th Five-Year Plan of the Steel Industry, suggesting that new blast furnaces must be equipped with TRT devices simultaneously, which was adopted. He has published over 30 papers in Steelmaking and China's Economy and Informatization. As a special expert with Economic Daily, he has interpreted the prosperity index of China's steel industry. He won more than 30 national outstanding engineering consulting achievement awards. |
