The 2018 annual meeting of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) was held in Berlin, Germany, on September 10-11, 2018. The consulting project for FAST applied under the initiative of the China International Engineering Consulting Corporation (CIECC) in partner with the Bureau of Facility Support and Budget and the National Astronomic Observatory with Chinese Academy of Sciences won the 2018 FIDIC Award. This is China’s first national major scientific infrastructure project that receives such honor, showcasing the development of scientific and technological infrastructure over the past years, and having great significance on increasing the international influence of China’s national major scientific infrastructure project.
