CIECC operates using an “investment banking + investment” approach and applies multiple business models to propel the implementation of national industrial policies and the high-quality development of the local economy.

The REITs in the infrastructure sector are a major innovation in China’s reform of the investment and financing system and a major initiative of finance serving the real economy. CIECC participated in the whole process of policy research and document drafting for the pilot plan of REITs in the infrastructure sector, and was exclusively responsible for the evaluation of the first batch of pilot projects in this regard in China.

Under the guidance of the Department of Fixed Asset Investment of the National Development and Reform Commission, CIECC formed an evaluation team consisting of experts from various disciplines. It organized pioneering studies on a wide range of different fields, successfully completing the evaluation of the first 48 pilot projects. In June 2021, CIECC was invited to participate in the listing celebration for the first nine REITs in the infrastructure sector in China, witnessing a historical moment in the development of China’s capital market.
