The fifth plenary session of the 19th Central Committee made a general plan to prioritize the development of agriculture and rural areas and accelerate all-around rural revitalization. CIECC has been tracking and studying major projects and important policies in the fields of agriculture and rural areas for many years, completing research on effectively boosting rural revitalization and improving systems and mechanisms for promoting integrated urban-rural development.

Consulting for rejuvenation and development of old revolutionary base areas

In studying the plans for boosting the rejuvenation and development of old revolutionary base areas during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, CIECC put forward many effective policy recommendations, earning the recognition of the National Development and Reform Commission.

Evaluation of the relocation plan of the poor in China

CIECC has long been responsible for the evaluation of the national relocation plan of the poor. It was deeply involved in the preparation of the 13th Five-Year Plan in this field and was commissioned by the National Development and Reform Commission to carry out research on the policy system for facilitating the relocation of the poor to hospitable areas during the 14th Five-Year Plan period in 2019. The research results of CIECC have been highly recognized by the National Development and Reform Commission, providing important support for the country to implement relocation work.
